So Good They Can't Ignore You
About two years ago, when I was at the crossroads and actively exploring what to do next, “So Good They Can’t Ignore You" helped me see my situation in a new light and make the decisions I made and have not regretted since. Besides the fact that this book quite unconventionally yet very firmly dismisses the common “follow your passion” thesis, I really liked a few other concepts it develops:
career capital & career capital market;
the craftsman mindset and deliberate practice;
good mission-driven projects and little bets - small and achievable steps to explore the concrete possibilities surrounding a compelling idea.
I get back to these ideas quite often nowadays, both in my consulting sessions and thinking about what’s next…
